Outpatient Medicine Intern: Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities

                        - Attend all scheduled clinic sessions

- Patients are specifically booked to see you.

- You are required to follow up on all issues pertaining to the patients you see.

- If you need to take a personal day or will need to miss a clinic sessions you must give the ASU staff at least 2 weeks notice.

 Behavioral Medicine
                       
- Meet with Dr Hopkins review videotapes.      
                       
- Coordinate the completion of a standardized patient encounter  
                                 with Dr Hopkins
        

Diabetes Education Center

                        - call Eileen Sterner at the DEC: 215-672-0899  Esturner@amh.org
                              - schedule yourself to complete the DEC classes AS A PATIENT
                             -  attached to the G+O packet are the dates and times the classes are offered
                              - you must present the certification of completion of the classes to the           
                                Department of Medicine  within 4 weeks of completion of the rotation

Ambulatory Presentation

- Prepare a one hour talk on an ambulatory topic

-Please see Dr. Schneider or Dr. Dietzen for discussion regarding your topic in the first week of your
