LIFE INSURANCE
All residents are covered by a basic life insurance policy
according to the following schedule:

Limited supplemental life insurance may be
purchased for yourself, your spouse, same sex domestic partner,
or your children who are under age 19 (23 if full time
students).
HEALTH/DENTAL INSURANCE*
Abington Memorial Hospital offers a flexible benefit program
that allows you to tailor your benefit package to meet your
individual needs. This covers both medical and dental
insurances. Some plans are at no cost, other plans have a small
fee attached based on your selection.
PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY
All house staff are covered by the Cassatt RRG, Inc. The
hospital purchases continuous coverage for all events that occur
during a resident’s tenure at this institution. Coverage for
moonlighting activities has to be cleared with the respective
program director and hospital administration.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY
Each resident is issued an individual disability insurance
policy, which will pay for 60 percent of the base salary,
subject to a maximum schedule amount of $3,000 per month, and
will continue coverage for two (2) years. This policy is
transferable upon completion of residency training.
403B TAX-SHELTERED ANNUITY
You may participate in a savings plan with a variety of
companies that permit you to make a tax-deferred investment of
up to a certain dollar amount determined by the tax laws in
effect for the current year. Federal Income tax is deferred
until money is withdrawn.
